We had the honor of meeting New Orleans folk artist, Dr. Bob, the last time we were in willie’s my hometown of New Orleans. Dr. Bob’s Art Gallery is located on Chartres Street in the Bywater, right near where we were staying. When we stopped in we were lucky enough to meet Dr. Bob himself as well as his friend, George (pictured below). There’s just something about coming home, you know? After nearly twenty hours in the car we can’t even begin to tell you how welcome the sight of my old New Orleans neighborhood, the Bywater, was. The area has really developed in the last three years with new stores and restaurants. With so much new, we were so glad to see that the great mix of people with friendly pets still remains.
